Well lets see, I transfered from the Twin Cities campus and of course they are worlds apart (the TC campus is 5 times larger). I transferred to focus on the pharmacy program and to move to a city I've always wanted to visit. The area in terms of geography is amazing and if that fits your interests the better.

Night life is not going to be the busy dance clubs at every corner with the blaring techno, etc. etc., yes there are a couple, and they can be fun, but I much prefer the hole in the wall bar with the $1 beer instead of the $4 beer at the stuffy club. There are plenty of these hole in the wall bars in Duluth & Superior. As with anything it is what you make it. I kept busy with school and social clubs, intramural sports, friends and the outdoors. If you get bored don't blame the school don't expect your XBOX to make friends pop out of the T.V. College is about getting out there, finding out who you are and learning to get the best out of any situation.

UMD will hold your hand a lot more than the TC campus, it somewhat sickened me (that and it seemed half of my senior H.S. class was up there)—some people may like this, but personally I like the size and personal responsibility of the TC campus.

Final thought, go to the UMD Bulldogs Hockey games—there really are nothing like them.
