Every comment about Baylor posted so far has been true. There are lots of really good reasons to choose this school. Like all colleges, you just need to find a place that you either fit or can make do with until you graduate. For starters, Waco is a crappy crappy town, but it could be worse. Campus is GORGEOUS any time of year. Even when I hated Baylor (probably cause I failed a test or something) It was still peaceful and reassuring to just sit and be on campus. Baylor is strict southern baptist. Not at all open to homosexuality, but that doesn't mean they don't exist on campus. Baylor questioned whether or not to kick out some girl who worked at hooters a while back, but I don't think they did. There are a lot of religious nut jobs on campus but they are harmless if not entertaining. Chapel was fine, you can sit on the top balcony and snooze off so its really not a big deal. Sometimes they really do put on a cool show for you, its not like a sermon. There are TONS of open minded, cultured, non-baptist people there. In fact thats pretty much all i hung out with.You just have to find the right people you fit with and the whole college experience will be great. (I don't know what that volleyball player was talking about, cause I hung out with all of them and not all of them drank. ) My advice to anyone thinking about attending; it really is a great school and people sound impressed everywhere i go (even london) when i tell them i went there. I have learned so much (good and bad) and even though the administration has a few things stuck up their rear end, its really easy to get around them and get what you need. (just play dumb..it works miracles) There are stupid people everywhere. Sic'em!
