This is great school to help you get back on your feet, if you messed up in the HS. This is the college to give you a chance to raise your GPA or take liberal core classes and transfer to the 4 yr school. This is great community college for returning adult students to get some college education OR for those who balance full-time job OR taking care of their own kids. This is a great school with small tuition, students who are out of HS and undecided what they want to major in college; they can take many classes and search for major. College that let you make your own schedule, be f/t, p/t or evening student.

Most of the students IN and OUT, right after the classes ends, this is NOT a college for those who want to experience regular college life, living on the campus, socialize and make many friends. They do have many clubs, but they are much disintegrated, example fashion club for those who're in fashion major and wants to earn extra credit, art club for those who wants to earn extra credit in art class and so on, if you'll join to club you might feel out of place.

Regarding counselors and registration I didnt have a problem because someone referred me a TRIO program; counselors at the program have been my friends ever since I started studying at the WCC. They were registering me for the classes I needed, advised me and told me about different programs I can join on the campus .They were very helpful and friendly staff. If you coming to WCC to register for the semester LATE, than I feel bad for you, lines are very long, staff in the offices disorganized (they don't know enough info to answer to your question), counselors not very helpful and they might register you for the classes you don't even need.

Regarding tutors, some of them were very knowledgeable and friendly, some of them were weirdo and would tell you re-write the essay, look for the mistakes and than come back later.

Some professors were very helpful, knowledgeable in their subject and interested in their student education. Some of them were IN and OUT of the class, getting frustrated because they could not teach or explain and a few professors did not speak enough English to teach. The best you can do to get your money worth for the class and actually learn something, do professors review at the rate my profesor.com or speak to the students around or if you have cool relationship with your counselor ask her to advise you.

Campus - if you don't drive you stock eating in the cafeteria or take half hour bus ride (1 way) to the near by city. Campus is clean, well maintained, suburban, if rain or snow storm than you'll have to walk through mud or snow. In the summer or spring campus is green (missing flowers)& fresh air, besides classroom building (that spot for every one who smokes and preppies that want to show off). Outside art building mostly artsy students hang out with weird style. Actually if to look around you might notice that campus itself disintegrated, Asian hang out separately, preppies have their own group, hippies or punks their own, those who play sports have their own group mostly hang out by the gym and so on.
I heard from others that nursing, respiratory care and radiology tech programs are very competitive and great education, a lot of work and studying.

So basically it is up to you how much you want to be involved in the school, depends on your personality how social you are and fit in the groups, to get education you want do research on the professors, take honors classes, come to the classes, do your work get involved in the classes , volunteer on the campus, get on campus job, use gym facilities, look around for the upcoming events and youll be just fine.
