Before attending Norfolk State University, I wasn't sure if I'd really like and enjoy it.  Now as an upcoming sophomore, I feel more than happy that I attend this school.  NSU offers a variety of majors that are engaging.  Not to mention the advisors of these majors are more than helpful.  The advisors are willing to go out of their way by listening, offering other references etc.  just to make sure that you are for certain about your life goals.

As any school, NSU isn't perfect but there's no way you can't make it into a positive learning experience.  Most of the students at NSU are friendly, I really have nothing negative to say about the majority.

For the many people who say that NSU is not a good school, you cannot only go by their words.  People tend to think that the name of the school determines their greatness.  Ivy league schools are great but they're not perfect.  It is how you apply yourself.  No school can label you.  I applied myself and now I am looking at a 3.6 gpa, although it's not perfect, in due time it will get better.  NSU is a great school, from the people to the year round events.  The quality of the school is the quality of its students and staff members.
