Date: Jun 22 2008 Major: Pharmacy (This Major's Salary over time) When I first graduated from StLCOP I had a great disdain for that school. It was way too labor intensive, akin to a 6 year mental boot camp. But that being said and having 17 years of experience, I am grateful that I went to "the old girl" for my schooling. StLCOP taught us how to self learn and this is important in the field of pharmacy ; the knowledge matrix is always changing. I have worked with pharmacists that have graduated from other schools ( KC, Xavier, Butler and Rutgers) and they are almost all empirically taught badly. These colleagues are usually poor pharmacists in reputation.Yes, StLCOP has a reputation of being hard and cutthroat but ultimately it is worth it. If you decide to go to Medical school after StLCOP, your medical training will be very easy; this I can ascertain by my old roommates who are now physicians ( who both are wishing that they stayed as pharmacists)
