I feel like I sold myself short on my education. I did learn a lot and I had some good instructors and I had some bad instructors. They do not review the teaches they hire very well. But they do get some good ones in.

Keep in mind that the accreditation the Westwood has is as a Trade school or Career School. I have run into walls trying to find a good grad school to continue my education. So if you want to continue your education after Westwood you may run into problems.

Westwood does have a good mix of general education classes however, the classes are very easy, almost too easy it is not hard to get an A in class.

The Financial Aid office and Business Office are horrible. They will rush you into class without letting you look over your finances first. Remember loans may seem like a good idea but you don't want to be up to your eyeballs in debt when you come out of school. If you are going to pay that much for a degree you might as well go to a State school or a more prestigious private school. Whatever you do, if you can't get enough grants or Stafford loans to cover your education DO NOT let them put you on the Westwood loan. That is another way they can rip you off. I spent way too much money for a degree that wasn't really worth it. i am glad that I have a degree but given the chance to do it over again I would go to another school.

The Career Office isn't much help either. They don't really help you find a job and every time you bring your resume in they have another change and sometimes it contradicts what they told you before. So you can't get your resume straight to go find a job.

On a good note they do let you go back to retake classes if you want. If you are already going to Westwood or if you are a graduate that is the best way you can sell this degree to an employer. If you take advantage of that option it can help you out.

Also, the VA representatives for military students are often hard to reach and will not help you get the most of your GI Bill or Tuition Assistance that the Army offers.

If you are a high school student looking for a school, find something else. If you can't afford a four year school right away or if you have run into any other problems, go to a community college and then transfer to a State College or University. You will get more out of your degree, and you will be more marketable to employers.
