Major: Art & Design Department (This Major's Salary over time)
First of all, compared to what you get for what you pay, this school has to be number 1. I will be graduating in my 5th year with only $2,000 in debt. When talking to other students about their schools, I find that I am very lucky to have chosen Long Beach State. The people are genuine and friendly, whereas alot of other schools seem like they hold frequent popularity contests. I wouldn't say my GE classes were extraordinary, but all of my Art classes have been. The Art department is amazing and I have grown so much with it. Long Beach is such a diverse and interesting place and there are hangouts everywhere waiting to be discovered. If you choose this school, the only disadvantage is that most of the students are commuters and that we don't have a football team, but trust me, you won't be worried about that once you attend.
