I am getting out of Edinboro as fast as I can-this spring.  I got accepted to a school (that was difficult to get into) that has a great reputation for my major, and is back in the city where I belong.  I should have never came to Edinboro, and I came here for a stupid reason that I wont get into, but Im so glad Im getting out.  The students are a bunch of lazy morons, and it's true that Edinboro will take anyone.  I had a girl ask me if a 65% was a B, and she didnt believe me when I told her that, depending upon her prof, it was either a D or a failing grade.  Another girl is FAILING PSYCHOLOGY and all of her other classes because she's out partying til all hours of the night.  My best friend, who is a science major, got bitched at by some members of her club (who are all business majors) for skipping a meeting to study.  Pretty much all the students are like this, and socially, they are stuck up and arrogant, with only a few exceptions, as most of these kids come from the surrounding prep schools and have known each other for a million years and can't grow a pair and go to an actual college.  As for faculty: Financial aid doesnt know what the hell they're doing, they screwed over so many of my friends by not telling them what was going on with their aid.  The new Pres cut back funding for work study and faculty (to put more money into the new dorms), so a work study is nowhere to be found (especially if you were a transfer student like myself) and half the profs also dont know what they're doing-for God's sakes, even my English professor told me I was too smart for Edinboro and to get the hell out, that their journalism and english programs are sub par.  As for environment, it can be lovely in the fall on the West end of campus but when it's raining/snowing it is the most depressing place to be, the ground is always littered with garbage, and the whole campus smells like cow shit at night (there is a cow farm nearby).  Spare yourself loads of trouble and DONT GO TO EDINBORO.  Granted I have a few lovely professors but most of them don't know what the hell they're doing and I have gotten absolutely nothing out of the majority of my classes.  I come from the city and Edinboro was a huge culture shock-nothing to do and a million miles away from civilization and intelligent people.  Oh and the food sucks, too.
