The Art Academy of Cincinnati is a complete joke. Looking back on my years spent “learning graphic design I cringe at the money it cost to attend. The AAC taught me nothing in terms of industry standard programs that I would use in my daily life, professional practice instruction, or even how to attend an interview and present my work. I have been out of school 7 years now and have come to the realization that graphic design sucks and the student loans I accrued while attending the AAC are bankrupting me, so I have decided to throw them into deferment and get my doctorate in Psychology where I will actually learn something and make money once I am out of college. I really regret all of the time and money I wasted at the AAC and wish I could wipe the slate clean, but you live and learn. My wife recently asked me if I would pay for my childrens college, once we have some, and I told her I would as long as they go into a profession where they can make a living and not live like they are on welfare for half their lives trying to pay down student loans from a worthless college. If I have any advice for prospective students it would be go far far away from the AAC. If you have to learn graphic design go to either New York or San Francisco where there are booming markets. The AAC may seem like a dream, but you pay lots of money for little-to-no education and now that the college is in Over-the-Rhine (Crack Alley) you will probably get stabbed at some point in your academic life.
