CCNY, or City as we call it has just gotten on my last nerves. First semester for me was decent, I met a few cool people but after that I became entirely bored with the school. The social life here really and I mean REALLY sucks. Virtually everyone is a commuter and it's hard to get to know anyone unless you force yourself to talk to them in the common areas. Thus far I haven't even had any cute guys in my class, although the cute ones seem to be out of class. The class sizes are a different story. This semester I have over 45 kids in one class!!! I thought city had small class sizes, but since they have somewhat over 14,000 undergrads, they seem to be shoving people in everywhere. You start to see the same people and the same crap everyday. The faculty sucks. So far I've had two so called professors teaching me that were GRADUATE STUDENTS. I guess they can't even get real professors in some courses. I'm pissed about that. The surrounding area of the city is nice to explore, I mean if you really want to learn about the city, venture out. The food is not that bad, although the same things are served everyday. The best thing about City is that the close proximity of classes to each other. Everything is right across the street from each other, in one secluded area. This I did like very much. If you want an ounce of dorm life , there is THE TOWERS. I've had the most horrible roomate in history there, and I've since had to move out. Plus towers are really expensive for no reason. I would say City is a place for students who just want to come in and get their education and get out and not meet anyone. The activities suck here as well. If you're not in the sophie davis program, or the honors program, you'll be bored as hell!! Professors are boring, and don't try to spice up the learning with anything fun at all. JUST PLAIN DULL. CUNY'S JUST AREN'T FOR ME.
