Major: English (This Major's Salary over time)
This place is the laughingstock of both the academic world and the geographic region, I learned when I finally got out. Reeks of self-satisfied, brain-dead cowboys and loser teachers who couldn't get jobs at good schools, so they think they are all that for being the "intellectuals" in small town Nowheresville. (Hey, professor, if you're so smart, how come you're here and not at EOU, Whitman, or Walla Walla?)NO nightlife (if you don't like cow-tipping), NO social scene (unless you like dating cows/cowgirls/same dif), NO academic excellence. (Thinking is bad for the cows. Sensing a trend here?) Pendleton is a TINY town in the middle of a freaking DESERT, right near a CHEMICAL WEAPONS FACILITY! I guess, if you want to feel like you're in "The Hills Have Eyes" every day, you might like it . . .If you have any intelligence or self respect and can POSSIBLY attend ANY other school (there's a decent CC and a state university just 50 miles away, for christ sake!) avoid this place like the plague.
