Major: Other (This Major's Salary over time)
I graduated from the School of Business, gaining a 4 year degree in Information Technology. The faculty, were very helpful, and my fellow classmates and I were always on the same page. The college was one of the very first to implement wireless internet in their dorms and since then, there's been a major overhaul. They now have the best wireless of nearly any college with optional access for other devices, not just the laptops. The laptops themselves are upgraded to a new model each year for each new class, and are top-of-the-line machines. The RAs and RDs are good people. If you got a problem, they will help. If someone is causing trouble they will help. If you have a seemingly random question, they will answer it.The University Police are NEW YORK STATE TROOPERS. They are NOT rent-a-cops armed only with a can of pepper spray. They are equipped (and will treat all situations) like NYS Troopers. Because of them, there is little to fear on this campus. They'll even pick you up from the parking lots if you don't feel safe. The Nightlife is what you make of it. Parties happen on the weekend, along with special events. But I guarantee you, there is always something going on in the form of floor programs. Don't be shy, just attend them, they can be fun.The food is what you'd expect from a State college, some is good (Bev and Gina will not let you down! Also Mustang Alley!) some is meh (red sauce and white sauce should give you a clue), but some of it can be pretty delicious (stir-fry nights, holiday dinners).Only thing to worry about: If your from the city, it will take a week for your body to get used to the food, and environment up here. That said, it can be pretty quiet up there. So remember that too. Just because it's quiet doesn't mean there's nothing going on.Also, the college is half agriculture. Smelling horse/cow in the morning is normal…and after a while you won't even notice it.
