Academically, Lawrence is very good. The work is challenging but not overbearing. The Faculty is really helpful and always willing to meet outside of class. Otherwise, you can shoot them an E-mail and they generally respond very quickly. A's are not handed out here, which means you actually have to work hard to attain them..It is all the more rewarding when you get one, though. Do not come here unless you are willing to work hard.

Socially, things are not bad but there is room for improvement. There are a ton of clubs here that people actually join and get involved in. On weekends, there is drinking and partying. Never have I ever felt pressured to drink, though. The city of Appleton is pretty small, but interesting. There are a lot of cafes and such. Since Lawrence is a smaller school, you will see familiar faces - which is nice.

Overall Lawrence has exceeded my expectations (which were very high)in almost every aspect. Given the chance to go somewhere else, I would not. I love it here.
