Major: Fine Arts - Painting/Sculpture/Photography/etc (This Major's Salary over time)
First off; I'm both surprised and not surprised about the negative feeback NYIT is getting. I am a freshman majoring in Graphic Design and I gotta say, for a school focusing on TECH(the arts. science, architecture..) there sure are a handful of (clueless? oblvious? …ignorant?) students majoring in business, criminal justice and english. Why? I don't know. The lattering departments listed aren't exactly well known or from my knowledge—well developed, and what's more, the tuition at NYIT isn't exactly…nice…soo…why people are at NYIT, majoring in business when they could be spending less money at a community college —I have no idea. No idea at all. So, what about my experience? I bet you're just dieing to know. =) Well, it was really "fun", honestly—and when I say fun, I mean I was challanged, I struggled, I did my assignments to the best of my abilities, and at the end I got a satisfaction (some degrees more than others) out of my work. So, bottom line: I did quite well and it was worth the time spent. Final verdict: If you are seeking a major that NYIT FOCUSES on (Architecture, Art, Science, Communications) then I suggest applying and checking this place out! If not…why are you here?
