No, this school is horrible. I concur with everyone else who says so and the person who wrote the review below me obviously is trying to compensate and trying hard to shed the school in a good light. (which is why he/she brought up a 40%+ acceptance rate according to USNWR, which isn't even impressive) Well to the buddy below me, do you also know that USNWR pushed SJU not to 1st tier, not to 2nd tier but to 3rd tier. That's right, it means SJU isn't even considered as a top 100 school. Not even top 200. USNWR ranked the school 3rd tier. Rankings can be flawed but 3rd tier? Now you be the judge. I can't imagine anyone turning down Harvard and Yale to attend the dump that is St. Johns. And then to claim it would offer better opportunities than both school would ever offer is absolutely absurd. I wouldn't say not give it a look. Definitely come to campus and explore. Maybe even sit through a class. Then you would see first hand how shitty of a University SJU is. In the end, you'll thank yourself for not even wasting the time to apply. If you're looking for challenging academics filled with brilliant people and no severe red tape, SJU is not the place to go. It should only be considered as a last resort. Columbia, Binghamton, Syracuse, NYU, BU, Carnegie Mellon, and URochester are all better options to consider than this stupid school. Thank God I am transfering.
