When I was in high school I applied to 4 universities and was accepted to all of them. In the end I decided to go to a Pasadena City College because I wasn't sure about my major. People have told me that I made the wrong decision and that I should have gone to a 4-year but honestly I knew what I was getting myself into and why. I am glad I chose PCC because this place has guided me to what I want to do for the rest of my life. Some reviews here have said that the schools doesn't care and that they don't help. Maybe the school itself doesn't care but the majority of the faculty do care. There are so many resources available for the students. Those who say there isn't, well, they haven't looked. Some professors aren't helpful but that's where RateMyProfessors.com comes in. I use the website to find professors that will give me a challenge and give their time to help those who want to succeed. I suggest you don't abuse the website to find an easy professor because it will not help you in the long run. The Library is wonderful. Very open and comfortable. the first floor has the computers. They are fast and they give you about an hour to use it (depending the situation). The Librarians are funny and helpful. You should get to know them. The bookstore is very organized (recently remodeled) and the cafe sells food and snacks. It may not be the BEST food but hey, if you're hungry, you can eat it. If you don't choose to eat the cafes food then there are plenty of restaurants near the school. You can walk there. The campus itself is very clean and nice. Some bathrooms are old school but they don't have to be luxurious. There are sculptures around parts of the school and it gives the school a nice look. There are many clubs and organizations at the school. They aren't displayed much but there will be one for you. Most students aren't too bright. The ones I have met are nice. Some others I have met are closed minded and still have the whole "high school" character. I know a lot of people may complain about the close minded people and all but you shouldn't let that get in your way of your future. Once you go to a 4-year then that will be different. Yes, there are A LOT of asians and yes most are conceited but there are plenty who are nice and funny. All of this is simply my opinion. I'm pretty open minded and I research just about anything about this school. Just remember to use the resources and fight for your education. This school is a great school to start your path. I suggest you visit the school yourself and the surrounding city (beautiful). In the mornings I like to jog around the city because it is that nice. :D

Good Luck.

responseHey, what type of information? There is a lot to inform.

Most of the asians are korean and the majority are in ESL (Einglish as a Second Language). Accommodations as in handicap? All buildings have a way to get around. In the evenings, the school police can escort you to your car if it's far. There are a couple of programs for the physically disabled and financially disabled. You can check it out in the Student Services building which is on Colorado. Blvd.

questionNeed your help? Got accepted by a undesired UC. But a lot people say that better get in UC, then nothing due to budget cuts and no class in CC. Is it still worth a try from CC to UC?
questionHi, my best friend and I want to attend PCC, but we're from Coachella Valley, so our only concern would be to find housing. are there any cheap ($500-$900) apartments near PCC? thank you.
commentI would like to comment on what the nursing student said about conceited people who come to PCC. It doesn't matter to me what kind of dispositions the students have because this doesn't affect the school's junior college ranking in the slightest. When you apply to a 4 year school or to a job, I don't think that employers care if a school has conceited people. You should pick PCC for other reasons.
