Trinity College

Allow me to preface this critique of a school that is so mired in abject ineptitude, it is a caricature of itself: I was accepted into the University of Pennsylvania, University of Michigan, amongst a few other top-caliber schools. Lest I write until my fingers fall off, ill stick to bullet points (quite fitting given this was a common edagogical method of teachin at trinity college).

1.) the campus is in the heart of the most dilapidated ghetto you will ever find. While i was at trinity, before i transferred of course, a kid was stabbed in the neck, one had his arm broken, an multiplicity of robberies (way to long to list here), car jackings, numerous thefts, etc.

2.) for such a small school, the faculty are decidely unapproachable (i shouldnt have to schedule a meeting to see a professor in a school of 2000 odd kids).

3.) The food sucks…REALLY SUCKS, no variety, a lack of assorted cuisine throughout the week—a cuisine lacking in creativity AND nutritional merit

4.) There is no variety in class selection, no finance major, no architecture program…and thats just the tip of the iceberg

5.) Social life is the worst in the country (of course this presupposes ive been to every school in the country, which i havent, but ive been to enough schools to the point where i can comfortably make that statement. If you are not an trammeled slut with no discretion u will not get into a frat. Frats are the only organizations that throw parties at trin and the monopolize the social scene. the minorities are just as bad as the majority of the studenty body—white kids—and minstrelize themselves on a daily basis. There is no intellectual ethos to the schoo, nor is there any school spirit. football games are commonly half-empty, as are basketball games. there is no school band, no cheerleading team, nada. The school is very segregated as it is racist (to be fair im referring not to the administration but to the student body, although both get blame because the former selects the latter). Ive heard kids use the word "spic" "nigger" "faggot" in the most derogatory of manners, and the demographic of the school is so monolithic that unless u want to live out 4 years in utter hell, i suggest u find another school to go to. The weather, as you would expect of a school in connecticut, is terrible. There is virtually no social scene off-campus, nor is there on on-campus for that matter.

I could go on for years writing about the utter misery that trinity college fosters, but i think u get my point. This is the worst school on the planet, and every negative diatribe you've heard about trinity college is ABSOLUTELY TRUE. (btw, this was the nice version, if i threw in personal anecdotes trinity college would sound like Aushwitz.)
