There is nothing here that I would consider to be university material, as someone mentioned here already, this place is a Mecca for drugs and crime and the administration is doing nothing to solve the problem. They keep accepting students who have no business in education and learning. We know they are doing that because they need to maintain a certain number of students, otherwise, they don't get money from the Sate. But, these students they are admitting are drug dealers and pimps who make the place worse, while good students leave because they don't want to associate themselves with gangs and crime. The same thing applies to professors, the good ones leave because they are afraid for their lives and I don't blame them. I am leaving as well because I don't want to be harassed by gangs or the security. I don't care about their scholarships because I know the degree from fmu is not going to help me; I would say it would work against me because fmu's reputation. When I applied to transfer, the admission's officer from the other university knew about the situation at fmu and felt sympathy for me; she said she will do what she can to help me and she did. You can't believe how happy I am to leave this place and I would advise to keep away because when you are here, you get stuck. So many students want to transfer but they can't because they lose too many credits or they are not lucky with some good admission officer.
