Major: Art & Design Department (This Major's Salary over time)
I attended KCAI 10 years ago - worst decision I ever made. It was overpriced, under-equipped, and full of ramshackle buildings. The Disney intern program was way overhyped. I was trying to make a decision as to whether to attend a school that actually taught animation or go to KCAI, and the staff at KCAI told me that Disney never tapped interns of animation schools, because they had to be "un-learned" - in other words, weren't taught what Disney really needed interns to know. Well, so I chose KCAI, made the Dean's List twice, entered the comp for the internship, made the final cut, and then…Disney went to a school that actually taught animation and picked people there. In other words, KCAI LIED TO ME. I wound up deeply in debt thanks to KCAI's ridiculous costs, which eventually ate into my two small inheritances. 3 years of lies and phony problems and nothing to show for it. AVOID KCAI AT ALL COSTS. Don't make my mistake.
