Rowan University seemed like an excellent school to attend when I was a freshman, and that it was. Greek Life flourished, everyone was sociable, and there were numerous opportunities after college. The hiring out of the engineering department was almost 100% ever year. Now, in my senior year, Greek Life is in shambles, everyone is afraid to have fun and enjoy college due to threats by the administration to literally ruin our lives, and no one in my class is guaranteed a job. What happened to such an outstanding school? Politics.

As the school slowly falls apart, the aesthetics have turned gloomy and hazards are created within buildings, sidewalks, roads, bridges, and so forth. A 100 ft. tall Oak tree fell down the other day that had been marked for removal for over half a year. The only time flowers exist on campus is right before graduation so that parents are fooled into thinking the school cares about landscaping. My friend fell and broke his arm on a pothole because the school does not pay attention to such things. What happened to such an outstanding school? Neglect.

Now, Rowan plans on expansion and business building while the main campus continues to deteriorate. The President of the University just got a $100,000 addition to his pay every year. Housing is convinced to eliminate Greek Life. Glassboro hates Rowan. Nobody is happy. There is no sense of community. What happened to such an outstanding school? Greed.

I hate this place.
