When I read some of the negative comments about Duquesne on this site, I wonder if I'm reading about some other Duquesne - some "Twilight Zone" Duquesne where the dorms are dungeons; the women are vapid Barbies; the men are neanderthals; and the junior high-level classes are taught by careless DeVry drop-outs! GEEZ. I came to Duquesne from the West Coast. I love the school. I love the city. I've gotten a fabulous education. I've already landed (with Duquesne's help) an outstanding job in New York City that begins this June. I've made friends for life. I survived the cafeteria food, and I came out of the dorms none the worse for wear! I NEVER ONCE felt unsafe while on Duquesne's campus. I even love the "quaintness" of Rooney Field where the Duquesne football, soccer, and lacrosse teams play. (Yes, I saw many of the games there.) I've spoken to my friends who stayed near home to attend school. They all envy me and my experiences at Duquesne! Every college has cliques. Every college has tiny dorm rooms. Every college student complains about the food. Every college has some lousy professors. That's life. GET OVER IT, PEOPLE! I do not regret one single minute of my time at Duquesne, and I will miss it when I leave.
