Major: Electrical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
Although this university is rated at the bottom for "enrollment competitiveness," surviving and getting "that" degree is quite different. So in other words, yes, it's true that most people will be admitted, but many also don't survive the tough curriculum(s).Personally, I know many who have to switch out of electrical engineering because they simply don't comprehend the materials (or don't do the homework and seek help). Then some even switch again because they can't handle that "new" major and so on.Some of the professors do have "accents," but from personal experience, these professors tend to be more understanding and write more stuff/examples on the whiteboards than professors fluent in in American English who just talk. Most students learn by writing things down and looking at it later.Downfalls: lacks diversity, takes the "wrong" diversity initiatives, hicktown rural setting, not a lot to do on weekends. That says it all. The university seems to think that diversity includes only African Americans, but we all know it includes everyone who's different including Asian Americans, Mexican Americans, gays and lesbians, non-Christians, women, and so on. A lot of the white students are arrogant and some have never interacted with someone who's "different" from them. It's funny to watch how insecure a white person is talking to an Asian American classmate. Lastly, it's located in a rural area, so there's not much to do (depending on the type of person you are).
