Major: Art & Design Department (This Major's Salary over time)
I am a 3 year undergraduate of AIP. My first year was a great one. Although, after 2 years, I could sense something was wrong. From my experience, the Art Institute scheduling department for classes needs to do a better job at maintaining elective and core classes. That department showed me no mercy as by my 3rd year, I had a family, no more elective classes (to balance the high demand of core classes) and 4 core classes that were battling with my focus to get projects done. Bad recipe for disaster. I couldn't get half of anything done because I was stretched to my limits. Anyways I smartened up becuase the school couldn't give me any statistics at the time as to who all completed their GAD program and where they work now, and the fact I am still paying off big loans for the money I had borrowed to go there. I finally thought to myself and said, right now it's not worth it. I observed my surroundings and noticed tons of hospitals in the area. So I am currently enrolled at another school, on the Presidents List, with a 4.0 GPA, and

I'm in my last month of class time before I start externing as a Medical Insurance Biller and Coder. And for once, I'm happy with the progress I have made, and the fact that this program didn't cost me $70,000.00 to take up. It only costed me $10,000 to take up.

So is AIP worth all the money students spend to go their? Like I told many people before, if you take up the GAD program, you need to be fresh out of high school, with no social life(as in NO distractions, or anything to take your focus off of completing the program), except those who share the commont interest as you do (as in your fellow classmates), and a passion to spend long hours in front of a computer rendering long animations of 3D art that will take you a whole weekend and maybe even longer to get done on 3D Studio MAX and Adobe Premeire.
