Hi.. i ve got admission at ERAU for my graduate studies.. i m ready to put in any amount of hard work.. is this college a good choice?? plz help |
Major: Aerospace Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
If you're going to commit, then do so knowing the engineering program puts anything you've done in HS to utter shame from semester 2 and on. If you honestly work hard and can't get a 3.0 GPA after freshman year, I would highly advise against continuing with engineering, and staying at this school by switching majors for the sole purpose of having an easier coarse load is, in my opinion, the worst decision anyone can make. Some people aren't cut out for engineering, there are millions of other equally rewarding directions, you will succeed in whatever you're passionate about. If you can handle it, and grades are lacking due to lack of effort, then this program is completely feasible, you will just find yourself more-challenged in the later classes when you realize that you should've paid more attention in your previous classes. This school blows hard ones in terms of social activity, as does Daytona Beach. If you want to purely have an easy undergrad that is filled with fun, go elsewhere. On the other hand, if you want to realize that the real world desires engineers that can actually offer solutions, then this school will prepare you for the stressful life that accompanies a well-paying engineering job. Your first semester of freshman year in any school is for going crazy, experimenting with new things, and failing classes. After that, imo, is the time to grow up. So my advice: Spend freshman year in party capital college, then transfer to ERAU if you want a future career as an aerospace-related engineer. My 2 cents.
