I am in my 3rd semester of a G.D.D program in this school, and I must say the conditions and teachers are downright abysmal. First off, the only two graphic design instructors in the school are both incredibly self centered, if your with one the other will absolutely hate you it seems. If your in a lab and need help, and your instructor isn't present, the other one will do their best to pretty much misinform you on any of your work. Both instructors seem to have some sort of issues with people having creativity, not allowing anyone to work outside of the adobe creative suite programs. Hand drawn designs, designs on other art programs like artrage and sai, and using original hand drawn content in your work is grounds for failure.

Next is the useless requirements for most classes, seriously. Why do I need a comparative politics class for graphic design? Why should I need a foreign language class for illustration? Since when the hell does a biology class fit in for typography? WHY THE HELL IS THE G.D.D INSTRUCTOR OBSESSED WITH USING COMIC SANS?!

On top of it all, is a security force that does absolutely nothing unless violence breaks out, they've even allowed students to unscrew the guards off the televisions in the academic building and change the channels as they please. They don't stop the occasional idiot skateboarding in the hall until he hurts someone, and in one situation someone had set up a guitar and amp outside the window of my classroom and started blasting it as loud as he could while a lecture was happening. Nothing was done about it for another 2 hours.

I seriously suggest attending another university. This school is just a cheap money pit you'll be paying to waste your time at several days per week. The instructors are awful, the curriculum has some down right pointless classes for some majors, and if you do attend, don't buy any of the books for classes. Rent or borrow them, 90% of all the classes I've attended had made us spend hundreds on books only to never use them.
