LIU is not a school recommended for undergraduate science majors because the many faculty and TA's will screw your chances of getting in science programs like pharmacy, medical, physician assistant, and more. I did have few good science professors, but the rest were horrible. I was in the Honors Program too which I was doing good, but there were few professors that were not so good. Two advisors that I had were horrible and did not help me in my times of need. They would put me down and yell. I was an undergraduate pre-pharmacy major and my experiences were so bad that my family recommended that I got to another school to complete my pre-pharmacy requirements and then later I applied into a pharmacy program. At LIU I had people from a TA and advisors telling me to enroll in other programs within LIU and that no school would accept me for transfer. It was all a business to them for me to continue to stay in LIU. I transferred and complete my pre-pharmacy requirements. I did graduate from another college with a bachelors and went on to do Masters. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL if you plan to apply to a science program whether in LIU or elsewhere. IF you get poor grades like in organic or chemistry or biology classes it will hurt your chances getting into these programs. This school is very expensive and you will not get your money's worth. It's better to apply to a reputable institution that will help you succeed in your goals. Really research online and talk to people about which colleges are the best for you before you apply.
