Major: Other (This Major's Salary over time)
I have transfered schools many times, and Berkeley is by far the biggest mistake I have made. I attend the Woodbridge campus and it is absolutely awful. I am a fashion major, and when I first started there I could not take any major courses because they lost my transcripts. (Many other people told me the same thing happened with them.) I was then blocked out of registering for the next quarter because they had put incorrect information in their system about my MMR shot. I brought proof that I had it. A few weeks later, the same woman I was dealing with calls me and tells me that I'm missing my MMR shot. I kindly remind her about the past and she remembered. I went to schedule my classes and I was still blocked out. I went to advisement and they told me I was missing my MMR shot. They called the same woman into the room, and she simply replies "Yeah, I just never emailed anyone about it." I now went to go register for next quarter, and it is not letting me see the classes available. I went to advisment and they made an assumption that I didn't need a lot more classes. I told them they were wrong, and they told me they will not help me until I bring in my career audit( which they have a copy of.) Their online blackboard site is never ever working. How can you offer online classes and post class assignments up on there if no one can ever get on it? Financial Aid has no idea what they are doing and does not keep their records updated. They called me that I was missing information. I printed it out to show them that they had it, walked down there and spoke to someone else, who proceeded to tell me"yes, we have it." They offer a very small selection of classes, so it is hard to take anything that you actually need, and as an on site student, you can only take half of your classes online. Upon registering, they fail to tell you all of this. You may be expected to go to a completely different location. The coursework is ridiculously easy, and no one should have anything less than a 4.0. The advisors refuse to help you. You pretty much have to beg them. They tell you that everything is "not their job" and hand you a pamphlet. The dean is as fake as a person could ever possibly be. When you first start there they give you a degree audit, which is a list of all of the classes that you need, so that they do not at any point need to help you. If you lose this, good luck getting another one. It is too much work for them to make a photo copy. They never gave me one in the beginning, and I had to go to hell and back to be able to get one since they claimed that "they already gave it to me." I don't care if someone needs it fifteen times, they are paying to attend this school and the school is required to tell them what classes they need. I would never recommend this school to anyone. It is terrible and I just can't wait to be done.
