Major: Communications (This Major's Salary over time)
Pros: most of the professors are extremely knowledgeable and capable, especially within the Communications & Psychology Depts (which I've been most exposed to); and some of them even teach in other reputable schools such as Hofstra and Adelphi. Moreover, the price for such above average teaching is close to unparalleled, being as cheap as it is.Cons: The administration—Fin. Aid, Bursar, Advisement, etc—is atrocious. There is an automated service that answers every call, prompting appropriate numbers for each purpose of call—however, every single prompt forwards you to a machine that tells you to check the website. To make matters worse, the one prompt that's pressed to reach a rep instead forwards you to a busy signal every time…not even a voicemail. There is also an $18 charge for paying a tuition bill via credit card online. The website is also not very user friendly; difficult to find what you're looking for.
