I have been attending NCC for a littleBrightComputer Science
I have been attending NCC for a little over a year, I am a computer science major and really enjoy the program. Trying to get things done at NCC as far as things with the admissions office, registrar, CSD, and financial Aid have been very unprofessional and a waste of my time. I will be transferring out of NCC within the year and would not recommend any young student looking for a place to start their college career here. It is a nightmare and the faculty is very rude and of no help at all. Some of the professors are nasty as well and if I am paying for an education I shouldn't have to worry about the way the professor is going to treat me. I wasted my time and my money and I look forward to spending it at a real college.

Question
When I started Nassau CC.PreMed and Medical
When I started Nassau CC. in 1980 I went in as a simple minded selfish boy that was dependent on family. At Nassau I saw how people of all ages were trying to build a better future for themselves. They had to work all day to support themselves and then could only go to a few classes a week to get credits. At that rate it would take 12 years to just get a BA. Somewhere along the line after some time at NCC I had an epiphany. I realized that it was time to grow up. I realized that if it were to be it was up to me. I can see in my mind's eye exactly where I was on the Meadowbrook parkway on my way to a final at NCC when I changed 180 degrees. I straiten up my act got my butt in gear and started on a course of hard work, success and giving back to others and loving it. I honestly believe it had something to do my instructors and my experience at NCC.

Question
This is a great two year experience.Quite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
This is a great two year experience. Granted you may end up taking another set of coursework because the instructors are that good. You know (after attending) that you will not get another chance at such attentive and personally invested instructors. The only complaint that I have is that sometimes classes are cancelled due to enrollment issues and the extra class that you may have been waiting for does not materialize. I am forced to take two other classes (with an over-ride) so that I can complete my degree since one of the classes that was to be available this spring ... IS NOT. Frustrating, but it will get the job done. I am returning after this AAS degree to get my AA degree(in another major)and transfer out of state. Very transferable credits/classes. For the price and attention to details - you can't go wrong.
