Gettysburg is awesome. The faculty is extremely approachable and helpful, and most students end up getting really close with everyone in their department. Your teachers will know your name, and you'll probably end up going to dinner at at least one of your professor's houses. Classes are definitely challenging, but you really feel like you're getting a quality education. The campus is beautiful and most people are really friendly. While it can certainly get boring being in such a small town, the school really tries to provide fun social events on weekend. A lot of the events are host provider, meaning you get free drinks if you're 21, which is pretty awesome. Frat parties are a big part of the social life, but you can definitely find things to do if you're not into that scene. Most students seem to have no problem finding their "niche" at Gettysburg, and it really does feel like home. It's a fairly close-knit community where one always feels welcomed, and it's easy to get involved. I've never had any major complaints about the school, and I would definitely recommend coming here if you can.
