Major: Business - Management and Administration (This Major's Salary over time)
I went to CSUF because it was easy, close to home, and I knew they had a good business program. In fact, they have a kick your ass-you better study like there's no tomorrow upperdivision course load. I am a Marketing concentration and I absolutely LOVE my major. However, I don't like that in order to take any of my concentration courses, I have first complete essentially 3 years of other coursework that seemingly does not pertain to my major. Why do students have to take two forms of accounting, two forms of stats, FOUR econ classes, finance…? It makes sense for business majors who don't know what concentration they are interested in, but it's almost like taking business GE's and it feels like a waste of my time and energy, since most of these classes will put you through the wringer, if I already have my concentration set.

Even though CSUF is a commuter school, it provides a great opportunity to get involved in a ton of extracurriculars. I really didn't enjoy my experience at CSUF until I became involved, and now I really do love going to school. If I can advise anything? GET INVOLVED!!!!!!!! It's not as lame as you may think, not like how high schoolers think getting involved is… it's really worthwhile and can further your career and networking opportunities now and for the future!!

Responses
responseThe extracurriculars are like high school. You can't further your career and networking opportunities because most employers want to hire MIT, Northwestern, NYC and those kind of alumni. They think that CSUF is a loser school. Just FYI. Whoever says CSUF is any good probably is one of their students who just says that because they go there.
