BJU has seen a lot of changes over the years. Rules are being relaxed and they are moving in a ?new direction.? What I see is positive. I enjoyed my 4 years there. Great men and women who passionately want to see young people grow in the Lord have invested their time and money. Sure, they have made a lot of mistakes. Their past is spotted with unwise decisions and comments?but that?s what it means to be human. It?s often been said, ?If you see anything good here, God did it. The rest we did.? BJU is a fallible institution and they don?t claim to be otherwise. But they are very concerned about what God thinks and that dictates everything they do there.

They have a great academic program that has recently been streamlined. Their emphasis on liberal arts will make sure that you are a well-rounded individual by the time you leave?if you are open and ready to learn.

Are they strict? In some areas. But being strict does not mean you will be miserable there. Being a good person takes discipline?and it?s something that is all too lacking in today?s society. If you want to become a better Christian, disciplined in many areas of your life, then BJU is for you. It?s OK if you don?t agree with all of the rules. But if you go with a humble spirit, focused on what God wants you to learn, then you will enjoy yourself, make new friends, and have unforgettable memories.
