I was quite disappointed when I did not get into uga and was not offerd any scholarship money to play lacrosse up north. But I went to GSCU on a whim and I am quite pleased with the school. Starting off, you have to be socially out going if you want to go here. With the smaller student population it might be hard to find a group to fit in with. But don't let that keep you down because if you are still in high school you are not the same person you will be when you are 20. The academics and faculty are great much better then I expected. I found a great and fairly large group of friends that made the adjustment to college much easier. I was surprised at the amount of people I met who came to GCSU intending to transfer and ended up loving it. The student body is getting better academically every year, and since enrollment will be capped soon I would not be surprised if in the near future it will be harder to get into GCSU then UGA. Don't be discouraged by the negative reviews they are obviously the work of haters. I love the size of the campus, I could not imagine having to take a ten minute bus ride between classes like at a larger state university. Overall that school is awesome, the students are friendly, and downtown can be fun.
