Major: Accounting (This Major's Salary over time)
I graduated from Dowling in 1985 with a BA in accounting after transfering in. I found Dowling to be like other colleges, you get out what you put into it. Bad students will be bad students, good students will be good students, don't fool yourself's, this is not Harvard or Yale. It's a place to get the degree you need to get a job. I worked full time while attending day classes full time and graduated with a 3.73 GPA and top 10%. Did I work hard, sometimes, was I glad that I wasn't getting C's in classes that buried me in work only to be tested on information that was not taught, very happy. I'm currently a CPA and partner in a NYC firm. My colleagues attended the Ivies, but I can out work them and out think them. So there you go. Are there better schools for the price, yes. But there are also plenty of worst schools. I enjoyed my time there and it's only helped me in my career. Never been a negitive. So there you go. Work hard, make your own choices and don't blame the school. Life is to short to to wait for the next bus. As you kids get older you'll understand what I mean.Go class of 1985!!!!! Set your own pace and
