I am an electrical engineering student. I can honestly say the reason for attending this school is due to being rejected at the UW. In terms of the quality of education, it seems like the grass is greener on the UW side. I'm taking out a student loan, which feels overpriced for EWU's lack of quality. The professors mean well, but they dumb it down for the students who should not have been accepted into the department. Some of them haven't even finished the physics series, diff eq, or linear algebra. In turn, they become moochers and take advantage of others who are actually working hard to succeed (ironic that college is supposed to make you independent). I was like the big fish in a little bowl, which isn't benificial to me. I'm looking to apply elsewhere. The only reason to stay at EWU is that through a bunch of drama and not working with those moochers anymore, I have found myself a good study team. Although all of us aren't happy with the quality of education, we work as hard as those UW kids.
