Many people say that MCLA is "what you make of it", and they're completely right. If you want to have fun at school, you will, but if you want to be bored you can be that too. MCLA has a great party scene. There's always parties on Friday and Saturday at the Greek houses, and then if you're part of a Sports team or Greek organization than you can usually party/drink every single day. The best way to get involved on campus is to join one of the two, or get involved with some other club on campus. Everyone is super friendly as long as you are nice to them. I haven't met a mean person yet! The sport's teams, the guys inparticular, can be kind of self centered, but are nice when you get to know them. The dorms are okay, kind of small, but you always have fun with your floor! They're pretty much your family. When you're a sophomore or older you have the chance to live in a townhouse with 5-7 other roommates, which is amazing and the chance to live with your best friends is great. MCLA is a great school if you're looking to have fun, but everyone takes their grades really seriously too. MCLA isn't afraid to take away your financial aid if you don't perform to the conditions of it. If you're considering the campus, I suggest contacting people who already go there and plan a weekend to visit. You'll love it!
