Let me start off by saying that this school is highly challenging, which is a good thing. The campus' scenery is beautiful. It looks perfect from the outside, without knowledge of the true inside… It's all a facade. The negative outweigh the positive. I should have listened to everyone that told me not to attend the College of Mount Saint Vincent. This school is a total waste of money. If you're payng so much money, I'm sure you would like to enjoy your college experience. This school is a complete disgrace. First off, it is like high school all over again. There are many cliques. There is gossip that lingers. It is really difficult to find friends because many of the students who attend are snobby and bougie. The college is known to have ghosts (which many people weren't told until orientation, including myself)and coyotes! The school is very disorganized. The school places random holds on your account for no apparent reason. I once had a hold on my account that kept me from registering from my classes. However, come to find out, this hold was not supposed to be there. I was kept from registering for more than a month until my academic advisor informed me that I was allowed to register. In actuality, there was no hold. I was told that I had an academic hold that prevented me from registering, by a representative in the financial office when I really didn't. This messed up my whole flow because by the time I discovered this, all of my classes that I planned on taking the next semester, were already filled with students. The school also favoritizes residents. There is hardly any respect for people who commute. On several occasions, I have been told about events that would be held at night, and I planned on going. Then when I reached the school, (which is about an hour and a half distance from my house), they were canceled or started way later than they were supposed to. What happened to e-mailing people about cancellations and delays? Where is the common courtesy? If you wish to join an extra-curricular activity, you have to be a resident. It only makes sense. All of the activities are at night, ALL OF THEM. This school is designed for residents!!! Teachers may be helpful. However, the student body are arrogant and good for nothing! They are very shady. Everything is about money, money, money! I've even had acquaintances who have told me that the college had to reimburse them for charging them fees that they were not supposed to be charged for. This school also needs a food uplift. They serve the same thing evey single day. It's always pasta, sandwhiches, pizza, and sushi. No little variety… Always the same thing. Also, the ratio of men to women is very dispoportionate. There are hardly any males in this institution! It's like a famine. Everywhere you look, female, female, female. You have to look for excitment on this campus, and the more you look, the more you are disappointed. It's way too boring. I yawn at the thought of this school. And don't let me start on the parties… OMG, never again. I went to a few of the parties here. My gosh, a 10 year old birthday party has more excitement than any of C.M.S.V. parties. The last one I went to, I promised myself that I would never go to one again. Of course, being the disorganized school that it is, the flyer said that outsiders were allowed to attend (just had to pay a fee). However, on the night of the party, the rule changed. Absolutely no outsiders were allowed. I brought outside people and they weren't allowed in because of this sudden rule change. What kind of nonsense is that? All in all, this school is an ultimate fail! I would strongly advise you NOT to attend the College of Mount Saint Vincent! I am warning you. I was warned and still went ahead. I had to lean the hard way. If you know what's good for you, attend another college. Amen.
