Hey, sup fellow History major. I am Major Sanders, nephew of Lieutenant Colonel Sanders, and son of Colonel Sanders. This is an interesting negative review. You say you liked it while you were there, but can't recommend it- even in the year you graduated. I'm actually willing to take you at your word on this. You at least wrote a paragraph- some reviews, especially positive ones, are very short. Found one that was literally 1 sentence.I imagine BJU has some genuinely good and caring people there, as most any college or university will. That's a fair point. But I couldn't possibly agree more with your assertions about the institution itself. Overall, BJU strikes me just as you said- overly concerned with their own policies, legalistic standards, and looking good. Treating faculty and students right comes last as far as BJU is concerned. Every bit of research I have done on them tells me that's the case, and that research included reading the 2016-2017 BJU Student Handbook and looking extensively at BJU's own website.BJU's administration will lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do, in the name of getting their way? Oh… how I can believe it. Inconsistency and unfairness- and no doubt, playing favorites- is very much part of BJU's character as far as I am aware. BJU is a terrible and corrupt institution. It literally can offer nothing that could not be found elsewhere at a better school. |
Major: History/Histories (art history/etc.) (This Major's Salary over time)
2008-2012 History major. I had a good time there and got a good education, but I cannot recomend this school. There are a lot of good people there, but as an institution, they are more concerned with their policies, legalistic standards, and public image than they are with treating individuals right. The administration will lie, cheet, slander and do whatever else is necessary to get their way. They are inconsistent and unfair in the enforcement of their regulations.
