I left Haverford after a brief period of time. If you are interested in rigorous coursework that will prepare you for any position or graduate degree after college, Haverford may be a great place. If you are interested in being creative, making art, exploring yourself, and having experiences outside of the classroom and campus, Haverford may not be the place for you. Because I did nothing but homework and relevant reading, I became extremely depressed—the truth was that I wanted to study filmmaking and was getting no opportunity to even think about film. I know other very creative and artistically predisposed students who are either extremely ambivalent toward Haverford, periodically regret attending, and are also leaving the school. Really think about what you want when you go there.
