It is not worth attending this university unless you live off-campus for most of the time. In the dorms the heater/air conditioner does not work. Lighting is crap. Maintenance will not respond even for an issue such as your lock not letting you in your room. You have to repeatedly pester them, and when they come they don't even fix your problem. People get mugged around campus weekly. Also, this campus has uncontrolled block parties in the res village with loud hip hop and obscene dancing. This wouldn't be too bad if it was strictly forbidden during finals, but it's not. Some professors couldn't pass a fifth grade English proficiency test. The RAs are never there during check-out, and this forces you to do express check out, where you're not allowed to appeal room charges. Then they can charge you anything they want like trash removal or bathroom cleaning, which shouldn't be the residents' job anyway since we pay 9000 per year for 20 square feet shared with 2 other people. Them the food is terrible, but you're not allowed to NOT buy food on campus as long as you live on campus. This university is not an education institution, but a business. Rooms designed for two people (two wall plugs, two closets) are used by three people, and those designed for three are used by four.
