Major: Electrical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
A degree from ITT Tech is what you make of it. It is nationally accredited so that your credits won't transfer to most other schools. It is incredibly expensive. Some of the faculty aren't great, but they do prepare you to join the skilled workforce. The schedule was convenient for me, three nights per week. The classes focused on you career path and taught relevant information. I got my degree in electronics and was employed in my field during my last quarter of coursework. Some of my classmates don't share my success, but this type of degree is what you make of it. I worked hard throughout the course and made sure that I learned as much as possible, but with this type of school, you really don't have to. One of my classmates (from the previously mentioned electronics program) could barley operate a calculator at the time he graduated and was awarded an associate's degree anyway. You can succeed here without much work, but then why are pursuing a degree in the first place? There are cheaper options if you just want to buy a degree.Although most universities don't recognize ITT Tech credits, most employers (not all, but most) recognize the degree. In fact, some employers prefer ITT graduates because of the specialized training they give. Make sure that you are aware of the drawbacks (lack of transfer-ability, high cost), but the skills that ITT Tech are real, they translate to real-world jobs and if you care enough to learn beyond the minimum requirement, can give you the tools to succeed.
