DO NOT GO HERE! DO NOT GO HERE! People at this school thrive on telling others that it is the best school to get to for nursing and Pharmacy. This is a lie. This school is terrible. The school and the program are so unorganized. It becomes the students problem because you as a student have to keep track of things for your professors. The nursing program is stressful not because of the quality of the work. This is easy stuff. It is the AMOUNT of work they give you. Way too much busy work and they focus on all the wrong things. The passing rate for boards is so low that the school of nursing is in danger of losing their accreditation. The classes including classes that aren't in nursing are not challenging whatsoever. The students here think they are geniuses because they got an A in their bio class or English class. They don't understand that Wilkes University is a joke! This is not Harvard, Princeton, or MIT. Professors here have to be the most insecure, miserable, and childish people I have ever had to deal with. The professors are catty and will definitely get involved with the drama students have going on. No professionalism even exists here. No one here smiles and I can't blame them. This place is hell on earth.

The crime here is unbelievable. Like the posts before me there are things that go on here that are horrible. The amount of crime and the crimes that are committed are enough to make you run from this place. There are worse things than muggings and shootings that go on here. There are tons of stories of rape, torture, and murders. I would get into details but this post would hundreds of pages. The person below me who posted was dead on! The locals tend to ignore everything that goes on and point the finger at other states such as New York and New Jersey. Last time I checked the statistics were worse in Pennsylvania than both New York and New Jersey combined which is very sad.

Forget coming here if you aren't from the area. They do not like outsiders and blame every other state for their problems. There are some professors that admit and will tell you at the beginning of the semester that if you are from New York or New Jersey you will not get an A in their class. I'm blown away that these people think they are professors and think they are professionals because they are not. It should not matter where someone is from but apparently the people here think their shit doesn't stink but I can tell you the whole entire town smells like shit everyday! This place is a toxic, ugly, filthy, dump!

The people here think they are country but when you get to know the area and see where they come from you find out they are city people raised in a ghetto or suburb. These people are a joke. I grew up on farms and with farmers and I can tell you these people are NOT country. Many of the people here think they live on a mountain. There are no mountains in or around the area(It's rolling hills). It is sad because the people will talk as if they live in the Rockies but they live on a hill… The Hollywood hills are larger than these hills. This place and the people are very uneducated. The girls here are the most drama I have ever encountered. The maturity level of these students is so low.. I have met so many people here with bipolar, OCD, and just about every other mental illness. No one here is normal. I have never met so many mentally unbalanced people in my life. After a month of dealing with them I was leaving town every weekend. The only reason I post this is to give you a clue and heads up on the type of people you will be dealing with on a daily basis. Make your decision wisely and please do not come here. I'm so glad that I never have to come back to this ugly worthless city.
