This is not a very friendly location to be with. Especially for an international student and especially the city is very unfriendly. Bowling Green itself is boring and feels dead. I have a feeling that residents do not welcome students to their awful city so much.

The campus itself is not that bad though. It is larger than you might think. There are plentiful open grass areas. You won't feel cramped in here. There are not so many options to get student-budget meals around here. So if you're on a budget, you will have to spend time cook your own food.

WKU has a slogan of

A university with international reach

which seems more like a joke to me. Most professors here have not had any experience with international students. Majority of class students are locals not international students. Also the tuition is too high for a mediocre university.
