Faculty: Similar to a lot of the comments on here, the faculty are outstanding. I can't remember a time when a prof didn't have a moment to answer a question or give me advice. During my four years here, I definitely has many up and down moments, but my advisor was always there to help. The faculty treats you as a person, and not just as a number. Academics: I'll admit it, some of my classes were more challenging than others. Some prof I knew I took classes with them to get an easy "A." However the multitude of classes that I did take, I worked hard for the grade which I earned. Most importantly the classes teach you HOW to think, rather than just giving you busy work. Social Life: If you don't know people, having a social life can be difficult. I've found that most of the students are warm and welcoming, but I was also very involved. I realized the key to success at LFC is to become involved and network so you know as many people as possible. Sure there are parties, but the majority of stuff which happens on campus isn't talked about. Get to know people in your classes/ dorm/ clubs and you'll enjoy campus a lot more on the weekends. Clubs: There are so many extracurriculars on campus it's really easy to become involved in everything. I knew people who were presidents of two or three clubs, while also being active members in greek life and student government. Sports: Almost every sport won some sort of title during my four years. Jackie Slatts is doing a great job helping to improve the sports reputation at the school. The Town of LF: Don't expect to find a lot to do here. Really popular things are Thursday nights at the lantern, followed by Gabes which is the next town over. Sunday brunch at Egg harbor is also really popular. The town of LF though is really snooty, and besides going out to eat there isn't much to do. Campus: is beautiful. Take advantage to walk to the beach or in the woods. Walking around campus on the weekends I always felt safe.Overall: My first year was difficult, but I learned to love the school. I wouldn't trade my four year there for anything. College is truly what you make it, and what you put into it.
