The students and faculty here are mean-spirited, haughty and insolent. The school reveres itself for its uniqueness and acceptance when in reality it is blatantly judgmental, uncaring, and mediocre.

The students will pick apart everything someone says or does, regardless of the fact that the majority of them have never experienced an ounce of hardship, but will subsequently take offense if anyone calls them out anything they do.

Don't believe any of the social justice propaganda they spout either - the kids here are incredibly privileged (Rich White Kid Syndrome) and will only advocate for things that personally influence them. If you are a minority, anything you say or do will be largely disregarded.

If you are a person of color, if your family makes less than 100k a year, or if you are looking for a genuinely engaging and welcoming academic experience, I'd advise you to steer clear. Attend absolutely anywhere else. You'd be better off.

This is so fucking spot-on.

Seriously fucking avoid this college like a plague. It is seriously a fucking joke.

Want to do art? The school's so desperate for money and applicants, they're actually making it harder for students to pursue art here

Want a social life? Won't have one unless your family makes 100k or more. This place is a social nightmare. I have never encountered so many people dissatisfied with this school. You will make sacrifices coming here. Over time, you will think this is normal because everyone does it.The school advertises as being close to New York City when ironically it's that reason which makes this school a social wasteland. Nobody does anything on campus. If you want a social life, you really need to know people off campus.

This school has no endowment and everything here is run-down. If you're paying the full tuition to live in a rundown, broken dorm, you're fucking wasting your money. 65k is not worth shitty cafeteria food and broken windows. NYU might be slightly less expensive, but at least you get working facilities that is. This school should cost half of what it's worth considering how shitty and poor quality everything is. Even the education.

This school has a lot of mean-spirited people. This school is full of pretentious drug addicts and wannabe philosophers. It is so pretentious, you will later adapt to all the Nietzsche-dropping bullshit that permeates the entire campus. A lot of people are very unhappy to be here (most students here are usually rejects of better liberal arts schools). All of this makes for a very unhappy and cruel student body (i.e. SLC Anon).

Take your money elsewhere to a much better school (there are public schools around the area that are way better and cheaper).
Don't come here just because you couldn't get into Vassar or NYU. It is not an alternative. It is a broke college on the verge of shutting down.

responsePlease listen to these comments. Every. Single. Word. Is. TRUE. We are finding out the hard way. Also, look up the Gawker article about the most annoying colleges. When you read some of the comments, they will seem so outrageous that people will assume they are exaggerated or fabricated. Trust me, they aren't. Students like to think of themselves as being unique, but in reality, they all look alike and act alike and if you are different in any way, you will be bullied not only by students, but by administrators.
