I'm from NYC and Batavia is about 6 hrs from me. I wanted something different which is why I applied to GCC. Honestly I love this school. Everyone is very friendly, except some student groups can be sort of snotty. Most of the teachers are helpful, and the campus is nice for a community college. They always have activities going on to keep students occupied. However, there are some negatives. They definitely need to improve the food. They just added a subway but other than that, it's mostly fried foods. Also, if you want go live on campus,like I do, be prepared to be annoyed with the safety officers. It is a dry campus so they are on our asses 24/7. The city of batavia is OK. There are some cool bars And good places to eat. Batavia is located between rochester and buffalo, so that's a plus. Overall I think GCC is a great school.
