Major: Nursing (This Major's Salary over time)
I was never sure what the purpose of the nursing department was. It didn't seem to be to prepare us to become nurses, because many failed their NCLEX exams on the first and second tries. It felt like they just wanted to keep us in the program to keep the enrollment up at the school. Goshen is a dying school, but the nursing department has a large enrollment. Our tuition probably keeps the rest of the school alive. I am not mennonite and that is a problem for anyone on the campus who is not mennonite. There are so many good nursing schools in Indiana that I would not recommend that anyone come to Goshen and waste their time and money on a school where you are not really valued or where you cannot learn enough to pass the NCLEX exam.
