Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
My semester here at ESU has been horrible. I'm - was, committed to becoming a scientist - fisheries biologist but this place has broken my spirit. A little bit of my failing is on me; I thought this university would be a bit easier than KU but maybe a bit more applicable in learning real science but no! I was dead wrong. I feel like my grades are so far are of no reflection to the work I've done and it seems like I'm just by myself, that I have to rely soley on myself for learning whats needed. I have over 100 credit hours now, came in as a "senior" so I feel like I know a bit about learning and teaching (and had a class where I taught science to elementary). It seems they just want drones who have no other personal self interests and no life and are just told what to do but at the same time, the learning part is up to you! its crazy. Its caused me to reconsider becoming a scientist and also has caused madness, depression and loneliness.
