I agree with the posters regarding - Iona's job fairs. There are very limited Fortune 500 companies in attendance, and very few companies recruit students from Iona College. You always have your select few students that get hired, but the rest on the graduates are pretty much on their own. Also, the internship opportunities are also limited.

The academic support center is lacking in organization - and many times you can't find assistance with upper level courses. Iona to me also wasn't worth the money.

I could have taken classes from home obtained a business certification at a community college, and look for a position at a corporation that will pay for my higher education/college - or enroll in-courses that will enable me to climb the ladder at the corporation - based on their needs.

Iona is so behind the 8-ball. For a college, so close to New York City and other Metro-areas - they are so backwards in creating corporate partnerships.

The Administration at Iona - is to busy buying real estate - that they are not focusing on the students academic services.

Like other posters mentioned - ask questions, request reports and numbers. You will always hear about the successful alums, find out about he ones that are left with menial jobs and employment -paying back big loans. When you are on a tour, ask to meet with the President and his administrators, and ask to see reports - ask to see the list of corporations/companies that attended the last job/internship fairs, and for a breakdown of how many students were hired, and also ask to see the corporate recruitment schedule for all major concentrations.

I didn't receive value for my money from Iona, plus the staff, to me, don't seem happy working at Iona College - that also told me something.
