Date: Aug 21 2016 Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time) Just from my personal experience, the most important thing I've learned since entering the workforce is NETWORKING. Your grades, your extracurricular's, volunteer hours, etc…mean absolutley nothing if the relationships are not there. The job market is completely based on "who you know". Forget everything anyone ever told you about how to interview, get the job, etc. The number 1 reason most people become sucessful in terms of financial gain is because they "knew" someone with the authority to give them that position. You'll likely never use half of what you learn in college, but if you learn anything…make sure it's people skills and how to negotiate. Hopefully you won't end up with a degree that serves better as a wall ornament that to enhance your career. Best of luck though..
